Earok 2011 Collection: Preview video
Submitted by Earok on Tue, 11/30/2010 - 11:16Here is a video I put together for Wednesday's Auckland Game Developers meetup, which depicts some of the enhancements that I have made on the games for the Earok 2011 collection. Hope you enjoy.
Now, I just have to write the speech to go with it!

Wow! It's all looking pretty amazing! The fact that you can see upcoming rooms in Heart Of Ice adds a surprising amount to the feel of the game - It makes it feel suddenly deeper, like you're in a more well-formed world.
It's also good to see all this together in one trailer. You've accomplished a lot! And more importantly, I think anyone seeing this for the first time would think: "This looks fun - I want to check some of these games out."
Cheers Sam, glad you like the trailer. I definitely agree that seeing the upcoming rooms in Heart of Ice add a lot of depth to the game.
I'm also hoping that packaging the six games as a single downloadable bundle (though they'll still be available separately) will encourage more people to download and play them.
I hope to have a beta of the new versions out in January. I highly recommend the two player mode of the Kiwi's Tale, which is easily the most fun I have ever had from one of my own games.
Cool! Hopefully the mega-6-pak will get some attention on the indie blogs (i.e. We should tell 'em about it). People like downloading collections, I think.
Yeah, I happen to like game collections, particularly with the words "Cactus" and/or "Arcade" in the title. Once I've got the beta out, I might mention it at a few places.
