Would love to do a simplified WitchBlaster for BMax2 as a sample game, though would definitely prefer to do it more as an R-Type clone than a 'Cute em up'. The Kiwi's Tale might be a tad too complicated for a 'sample' game, though as a full project.. yeah, I'd definitely consider that.
You could also expand the Derelect universe by making another game in that setting (not nessesarilly a Derelect sequal.) I've been watching Firefly recently and it's interesting to see what kind of different senarios the writers are able to pull off in that universe.
I've been thinking a bit about new games in the Derelict universe. The first game set in the universe was a shoot-em-up that I intend to re-release soon (although I'll re-write the sparse bits of story) and also been thinking about doing a Mecha FPS and/or Wing Commander esque space shooter in the same universe.
Actually, is it still possible to buy the early Wing Commander games? I have copies of WC2, WC Academy and WC privateer around but would like to play through the series from the beginning.

A BlitzMax2 port of either WitchBlaster or KiwisTale. I'd help out with wrangling some improved graphics on either project.

Haha, Derelict kind of already is ;) the fact that you can control one unit from a first person perspective should be irrelevant.
