Version 2011.01
XBox 360 and other controllers can be used.
As a Witch on a Broomstick, survive four increasingly difficult levels of enemy Bees, Bats, Spiders and Snakes! Use three unique spells to get through the levels:
Each wave of enemy you shoot down will drop a star powerup, which will allow you to shoot more fireballs simutaneously.
There isn't really a story. It's really just an excuse to shoot enemies.
If you really need a story, then the Witches are angry that the enemy creatures stole the eggs from the Dairy they run.
WitchBlaster was my second Global Game Jam effort. Right from the start, I really wanted to make a game about a Witch on a Broomstick, so I did it without really considering the theme (Deception). The idea to include a Time Paradox mechanic came from Stephen, who won a short competition I was running on the blog wherein I would promise to base the design of the Global Game Jam game on the winner's design.
This port is my first major Monkey project, and for a brief period it enjoyed the top spot on MonkeyCoder's highest rated games list.
Hope you enjoy.
