About

Me Me Me Me

Welcome. I am Erik Hogan of Auckland, New Zealand, and Earok.Net is my personal site.

My primary hobby is game development. Over the past few years I have developed a number of well received freeware titles in a broad range of genres, including First Person Shooter, Platformer and Shoot Em Up.

I am also an active participant in the Auckland Game Developer's Meetup and the Playmaker NZ community.

Asides from game development, my other hobby is writing. I have maintained a long running blog as well as being a NaNoWriMo winner in 2009, and ScriptFrenzy winner in 2010 and 2011.

I hope you enjoy your stay. If you're a casual gamer, I recommend checking out The Kiwi's Tale. Otherwise, if you're more hardcore, Derelict might be of interest.

Zwai (one of the commentors on my blog) has begun work on an ambitious online Space FPS game with RTS elements. The game starts on a Moonbase colony after the devastation of Earth, but continues into a near infinitely large, procedurally generated...
